Dear Spoilers: You Saw It. Great. Now Shut Up!

Dear Spoilers: You Saw It. Great. Now Shut Up! So the epic finale is on the big screen and people are flocking to theaters to see "Avengers: Endgame".  When the tickets were first made available online, sites crashed within mere minutes of opening.  I'm still flabbergasted to know that someone actually paid $15,000 to see it on opening night.  I'm also shaking my head and laughing because my son works at the movie theater and four of us only paid $1 each to see it the following day. Dang, I could have made some serious money... Was it everything I expected? Yup.  More than I'd hoped it would be? Absolutely.  Exciting? Yes. Funny? Of course.  Well-choreographed (fight scenes)? Indeed. Cool special effects? Dude. Expertly written? Oh, you know it.  It was, too me, easily the greatest super-hero movie ever made.  I'm especially pleased because I read the "Infinity Gauntlet" and "Infinity War" series' back in the 90s and I thou

At Long Last, The DNA Results Are In! I Am From...

At Long Last, The DNA Results Are In!  I Am From... More than 15 years have passed since the day I was approached by a complete stranger on the street, asking me if I was "from home" (if you're new to my blog or simply missed this post, the story can be found here in the story, Africa: MORE Than Just Hollywood's "Black Panther" [Pt. 2 of 2] ).  She was the first of over 50 (yes, 50) people who either thought I was from, or told me that I looked like someone from Ghana, Africa . Last year, I decided I should find out for myself during my talks

EOM Check-In: Health Update (April 5)

Hello everyone.  I know I'm 5 days behind in my normally scheduled health update posting, but it's with good reason. If you've been following my blog and/or social media accounts, you know that on April 1 (yeah, April Fool's Day), I had Total Knee Replacement surgery on my right knee...  Not having revealed the actual planned date made it more fun when I posted that I was in the hospital, all checked in and awaiting surgery.  Publicly, I received a great deal of love, while in private, I was flooded with DMs of doubt and "I call bull s***".  The real April Fool's joke this year was that I was really getting it done! So, the surgery is complete, I now have two prosthetic knees and I'm waking up to my first day at a local ECF (Extended Care Facility).  My other two options were in-home Physical Therapy and reporting to a treatment center for each appointment.  Since I'm still recovering from my accident in December I am also being treat
